Dairy Crest milks it as revenues continue to rise
Dairy Crest has faced down falling cream prices after its brands, which include Cathedral City, Clover and Country Life, fared well.
The group said underlying sales rose 2pc in the first nine months of the year.
While food brands performed well, with sales rising 8pc in the final three months of 2011, falling margins in its dairy arm threatened to turn numbers sour.

Spread made easy: Clover producers Dairy Crest's revenues have risen on Clover amongst other products
It is also in the process of skimming 20m off spending across the financial year, which ends in March.
Shares dropped 3.2p to 320.5p.
